Cold emailing and Cold Calling

I love cold emailing 

It has led to interviews with NBC Universal and Adobe, dialogues with United Nations staffers and opened the door to endless opportunities.

Perhaps most significantly, however, cold emailing recently triggered a response from one of the most influential women in the world: Arianna Huffington.

But, why was I emailing this international media mogul and distinguished author? My intention was actually simple: I wanted to pitch an article for The Huffington Post and Thrive Global – two publications started by Huffington.
My op-ed piece – which centered around New York’s March for Our Lives – was timely and a strong political piece. Naturally, it was rejected everywhere.

At this point, I could have easily given up. However, on a whim, I decided to send one last email to Arianna Huffington in hopes of getting published.

She replied.
