Government announces EMDG shortfall - How you can protect your business

With all the Economic Turmoil in the recent months businesses need all the assistance they can get from the government to stay competitive in this world market. For 35 years the Export Market Development Grant (EMDG) has helped numerous businesses access assistance to expand into overseas markets and boost the Australian economy.

On the 25 February 2009 in a press Release by the Australian Minister for Trade, The Hon Simon Crean, MP the govermnent announced to cut this expenditure by 30% to 50% for grants over $40,000 due to the shortfall in the 2007/08 budget.

Since exporting is the most natural way of business growth and expansion it has helped many businesses to create jobs in Australia and contribute substantially to Australia's economy.

This new government announcement will mean significant cuts in what will be available to YOUR business in export expenditure.
