Autumn 06 Investor Forum in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane
With the support of Victorias innovation Vicstart programme "where innovation mees capital, BSI presented 7 Innovative Companies at the August 06 BSI Investor Forum in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to the Investment Community.


Alan Milwidsky and Fiona Pak Poy of Innovation Capital opening the Sydney Autumn 2006 Investor Forum. Fiona emphasised that VC investing is not for the faint hearted, however savvy VCs should make an annualised IRR of +20%. Innovation Capital looks for Australian Businesses with excellent technologies with the ability to scalee and go global. To be successful, the Investee needs to have cash, adequate planning, strong networks and good management. Fiona emphasised that a VC is not a silent investor, but would look to add value to the company with a view to a strong exit at multiple times the original investment.
One of Innovation Capital's star performers is B Code which presented at the BSI Investor Forum in February 05, of which ADI was a seed investor.

Alan Milwidsky invited Viki FOrrest, CEO of Anzatech to open the Melbourne BSI Investor Forum. Both BSI/ADI and Anzatech are part of John Brumby's innovative Vicstart Programme, which helps Victorian Companies access capital, finance and gain entry and relationships to the USA market. BSI and Anzatech will work closely together to assist Innovative Companies access the USA market place.

Brendon and Ashley presented the Damit opportunity. Got_It [Patent Pending] is a fully featured Digital Asset Management system which works with both Mac and Windows machines. It is designed to make storing, classifying and accessing your images a simple and frustration free process.

Anwar has developed a disruptive technology called 'Adlogic" that enables recruitment advertising in any media (physical and online) with a few clicks from the internet. Adlogic will also store resumes and search for the ideal candidate based on key words. The system has been validated by satisfied paying customers. Martian Logic is now ready to expand its sales force, and further develop Adlogic as a total recruiting solution, and is looking for funding to do this.

Peter and Justin have created a social networking sight that currently has 100,000 people in Australia communicating on their platform through mobile and web. The point of difference is that members "vote" for each other to be the most "funky, sexy or cool". The winners are interviewed by MTV and articles are written about them in social journals. The platform allows the ordinary person 15 minutes of fame. It is rated with the top 10 dating sites in Australia and needs the next finance round to enter the USA Market. FSC has developed strong partnerships in Europe and South Africa. FSC have also been sponsored by the BSI's Vicstart Programme "where innvoation meets capital".

Morgan Lean - Epiphany Games and Nigel Hall - Innovation Sunshine Coast Centre

Morgan, a serial entrepeneur technologist has developed a computer game "Champiions of Atlantis" that uses artificial intelligence and brilliant graphics to keep people playing. He is looking for funding to complete the game, and has lined up a publisher with a $6m publishing deal. There are 90m gamers turning over 34.5b per annum.

Greg Beaver - Chairman BSI Queensland and Dan Egan - VRS Australia

Dan has developed enviromaster - aircooling technology for large buildings. It uses filters to clean water, resulting in substantial water savings. Enviromaster provides Landlords with a 9 month ROI and is looking for a strategic partner to develop the sales force and channel partners.
