Suay
If ever you go to Phuket, be sure to book at Suay…
Our starter cocktail of a MaiTai and Pomelo Machito set the scene.
Chef Tammasak and his partner Pix’s restaurant SUAY have created a dining experience in Phuket – that I would rate a 3 hat if it was a Michelin restaurant – which I am sure it will be one day.
If you ever get to Phuket – it’s an experience that is one not to be missed.
SUAY – which stands for Sassy, Unique, Authentic and Yummy lives up to its name – is an experience where western food has been fused with Thai spices and service. We had the set menu, where our tastebuds were treated with a 5 star experience.
We chose the degustation menu, delighting our senses with high culinary art and generous portions of chef Tammasak’s signature dishes – and of course – the company was AMAZING!!
The Tiger Prawns were Chargrilled to perfection – With just the perfect crunch, accompanied by a generous garnish with slivers of lemon grass, finely chopped mint and chilli in a unique dressing.
The pasta and squid was enhanced with chef Tammasak’e unique sauce of homemade pesto and spices which blasted our tastebuds with a blend of Thailand and Italy.
The prime rib and papaya salad was a fusion of East meets West – and then there was the duck in the red curry sauce.
The homemade coconut ice-cream – was the perfect end to an amazing meal!
